Armed with a Bachelors of Law and Masters of Law from the University of Waikato, he was admitted to the bar in 2011.
With over a decade’s experience at a prestigious Hamilton law firm, Jerome is a sought-after expert in Te Tiriti o Waitangi, Immigration and Employment Law.
In April 2022, he founded Burgess Law, driven by a passion for excellence and a desire to treat all clients with dignity, respect, and compassion. Ngarangi Mason is a passionate and grounded law graduate, driven by purpose and pride in her identity.
Born and raised in Hamilton and Murupara, her deep connection to her whenua and people underpin everything she does.
A recent Bachelor of Laws graduate from the University of Waikato, majoring in Law and Te Reo Māori, Ngarangi is preparing admission to the Bar with a commitment to advocate for her community.
During her studies, she held leadership roles within Te Whakahiapo, the University of Waikato Māori Law Students’ Association, supporting tauira through mentorship and advocacy.
She approaches her mahi with empathy, precision, and a deep respect for tikanga Māori, and the rule of law. Rooted in her Murupara upbringing, Ngarangi brings warmth, humility, and a culturally grounded perspective to her practice, striving to honour her whakapapa while empowering others to do the same.
